Baking that starts with the biscuit tin, not the trend.
Makhekhe means "biscuits" — and that's exactly where we started: a family love of baking, turned into a small shop people could walk into and trust.
How it started
Makhekhe Biscuits began the way most good bakeries do — with recipes worth sharing beyond the family table. What started as biscuits for friends and neighbours grew into a proper bakery counter at Ngobe Shopping Centre, still run on the same idea: bake it properly, and people will come back.
Today we bake biscuits, cookies, pretzels, pastries, cupcakes and cakes, in batches sized for a real shop rather than a factory line — so everything you buy was baked recently, by someone who checked it before it left the tray.
What we believe in
We'd rather bake twice a day than bake once and let it sit. Freshness isn't a slogan here, it's the schedule.
